The Mum's the Word production:
“It is with great regret we announce that Bernie Nolan will no longer be appearing in ‘Mum’s the Word’ due to health reasons.
Ever the consummate professional, Bernie demanded the show continue on tour, and even offered to stay on the road during the early days of her treatment; however, good sense has prevailed, and she has now decided it is wiser to take a rest and build up her strength for her forthcoming treatment.
An announcement will be made as soon as possible as to who will take-over Bernie’s role. In the meantime Tracy Shaw (Coronation Street), Sally Ann Matthews (Waterloo Road) and the other actresses in the show shall carry on as normal.
